Leszek Skurski\u2019s (b. Gda\u0144sk, 1973; lives and works in Fulda and Mallorca) black-and-white paintings often depict instants of precariously poised pause amid an action he captures in focused density. Each of the four small-format squares shows a seated female figure absorbed by a book. Skurski deftly conveys the situation and its atmosphere of calm in a few spare brushstrokes or lines drawn with the palette knife.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/article>\n<\/div>\n\n
